Finding out you’re going to be a big brother or sister is exciting for some kids; for others not so much.
When Joel and Courtney Parlour of Seattle, Washington, were expecting their second child, they had an ultrasound to learn the baby’s gender.
The couple was thrilled to discover they’d be welcoming a baby girl, so they decided to come up with a fun way to let their son Brinton in on the big news.
Like most firstborn children, Brinton had gotten pretty used to being the only apple of his parents’ eye but all that was about to change.
Joel and Courtney had no doubt talked to Brinton about becoming a big brother, and he was excited when his dad brought out a mysterious black balloon for the gender reveal.
